As part of the University of Lagos’ 60th anniversary celebrations, Parallex Bank Limited, the most outstanding young commercial bank in Nigeria as recognized at the 2022 Marketing Edge Annual Summit and Award, has extended a relationship in line with its core value of cooperation.
A cocktail event sponsored by Parallex Bank was held at the university’s J. F. Ade Ajayi Auditorium to further beautify and enrich the year-long celebration, which was launched with a Jumat service at the university mosque last month.
Mr. Olufemi Bakre, the Managing Director of Parallex Bank and a graduate of the University, asserted that the organization is commemorating 60 years of considerably improving humanity, impacting lives, and creating enduring legacies. As a result, it is an honor for a financial institution like Parallex to extend a cooperation to the esteemed institution in order to join in the celebration.
In his address, Bakre acknowledges that Parallex Bank and Unilag share fundamental principles including professionalism, innovation, excellence, and a focus on the needs of the client. He proceeded by saying that it is only appropriate that these shared ideals allow for a partnership on such an important day celebrating the institution’s diamond jubilee.

Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, the institution’s vice chancellor, confirmed that Parallex Bank has consistently supported the organization and has played a significant role in several significant events that have taken place at the school, including a major sponsorship of the cocktail event for the 60th anniversary Diamond Jubilee celebration. He exclaimed his delight at a closer connection and increased cooperation between the bank and the university.
