The first Islamic bank in Nigeria, Jaiz Bank, said that it would work with merchants to develop a replacement for Zuma Rock in Niger State’s Madalla market, which could house 5,000 businesses.

Halilu Sani, the business development officer for Jaiz Bank’s Abuja branch, addressed the stakeholders at a meeting on Tuesday in Suleja. She urged traders and investors to pay the required fees to the project facilitator and assured them that the bank would quickly finance the project once the payment reached a certain amount.

The project’s work was delayed because of a few difficulties, according to Umar Ibrahim Dodo, managing partner of Dodo Project Consultants Limited. As a result, the Jaiz Bank was brought in, which he praised for taking an interest in projects that benefit people.

Members of two different traders’ associations, Yakubu Yusuf and Ike Nwokocha, stated their support for the cooperation and demanded that the shop offer reasonable prices to customers who were prepared to purchase.
