Access Bank and United Bank of Africa (UBA) have announced alterations to the opening and closing times at several of its locations. The two banks gave various justifications for the change in a separate email to their clients, including operating expense and lack of security.

The number of Point of Sales (PoS) operators in the impacted areas would probably rise as a result of the decision.

ACCESS BANK

The list of branches and the states in which they operate is provided by the bank in a notice to its respected clients titled “Adjusted Closing Time for Select Branches.”

According to Leadership, Access bank advised clients to think about handling the majority of their transactions through its digital platforms.

Access Bank stated:

“You can simply process most of your transactions via our digital channels, as a few of our Access Bank branches nationwide will be closed at 3 pm from the 29th of August, 2022. “Other branches will be open as usual from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and we promise to keep customers informed as they make the changes.”

UNITED BANK OF AFRICA

According to InsideBusiness, UBA informed clients in a statement on Thursday, September 1 that it was modifying working hours in some of its locations to guarantee the welfare of both customers and employees.

The statement titled ‘Notice of Bank Closure’ reads:

“Please be informed that some of our branches will now close earlier for the safety of our customers and employees. Our digital channels will remain available to you 24/7.”
