The title sponsor of the music reality show “The Voice Africa” has been revealed to be Airtel Africa. With over 180 countries airing The Voice, it is the most popular music and entertainment competition show in the world.

In order to expand the award-winning idea to all 14 Airtel Africa territories, Airtel Africa has teamed with FAME Studios Africa, the executive producers of seasons three and four of The Voice Nigeria.

Airtel TV, Free to Air stations (FTAs), and commercial channels will all stream The Voice Africa’s premiere season to millions of Africans in 14 different nations.

Along with a distinguished group of judges and TV hosts, it is anticipated to draw and present the best African musical talent and serve as a springboard for international exposure. The program will pick seven contestants from each of the 14 nations, and one of them will ultimately be named The Voice Africa.

Segun Ogunsanya, GCEO, Airtel Africa, said:

“The Voice Africa gives us an incredible platform to help discover and champion the musical talents of young Africans, enabling them to achieve their full potential. I believe the drama and excitement around their stunning performances will unite people across the continent. Our musical landscape is culturally rich, vibrant, and dynamic and the rhythms of Africa are already making a massive impact globally. There is a huge opportunity for African music to be exported on a scale larger than ever before, and The Voice Africa has come to empower our young talent and help them fulfil their ambitions. Airtel Africa is facilitating the emergence of successful musicians who can compete with their peers from anywhere in the world.”

The Zain Africa Challenge, a quiz competition that brought together university students, the MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMAs), and the Airtel Rising Stars football tournament for Under-15 boys and girls are among events that Airtel Africa has sponsored over the years. With operations in 14 African nations, Airtel is a top provider of mobile money and telecommunications services.
