Interswitch, a firm that specializes in integrated payments and digital commerce, showed its dedication to encouraging women to pursue careers in technology at the recently finished “WeTech Conference,” tagged “WeTech 2022.”
Over 1,000 women attended the program, which was billed as the largest tech conference for women in Nigeria. They discussed the opportunities in the tech sector, the advantages for developing their individual career goals, and the viability of women-run tech startups.
The conference included panel discussions, keynote presentations, and talks from prominent women in the Nigerian tech sector who shared insightful information about how to get into the tech landscape in Nigeria and dispelled myths about the country’s potential for fintech.
Interswitch, a silver sponsor of the event, was also there to inform women about various cutting-edge technological solutions beneficial to the development of their businesses.
Cherry Eromosele, executive vice president of group marketing and communications, commented on the program and said that one way the organization showed its commitment to empowering stakeholders in the ICT ecosystem was by sponsoring the Conference.

Franklin Ali, the company’s chief human resources officer, added his thoughts and reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace by endorsing a gender-balanced hiring procedure.
He stated that the recent “Hofstede” report that listed Interswitch among the top five leading firms in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in Nigeria can serve as a testament to their determination to offer employees an equitable workplace that promotes teamwork.
