The Bank Directors Association of Nigeria reported a 5.3% increase in revenue for the fiscal year 2021.
At its 25th annual general meeting in Lagos, the association’s chairman, Mr. Mustafa Chike-Obi, revealed this while presenting its 2021 financial statement, which was completed on December 31, 2021.
According to him, the association’s overall financial performance improved by 5.3% when compared to 2020 activities. N13.45 million extra was added to the accumulated money.
The association, limited by guarantee, also disclosed the resignation of two board members. Mrs. Onari Duke, a non-executive director of UBA Plc who joined the board in 2017, announced her resignation.
Additionally retiring was Ms. Hadiza Ambursa, a director for Access Bank Plc.
According to Chike-Obi, the group wants to intensify its lobbying campaign on behalf of the banks that are members of the association.
